ResNet provides expanded basic cable TV to students living in campus housing. 

IT provides cable television service to the University community via the campus-wide broadband system. Programming includes educational, informational and entertainment channels and broadcasts. 

Online class rosters are available through Enroll & Pay. Rosters are updated daily and can be viewed and downloaded by the instructor of record.

LAN Support Services provides data storage and backup services to meet departmental data storage needs.  

The GIS and Data Lab provides workspace for KU students, staff and faculty, as well as assistance with numeric, geospatial, statistical and related data. The Lab supports GIS and statistics-related class work, teaching and research at KU.  

Deskside Coaching is personal computer assistance in your office, tailored to fit your needs. Available for faculty and staff only. 

LAN Support Services provides automatic Microsoft Windows and Sophos antivirus updates, patches for standard applications and security updates.  

Technical support for university owned machines is available through LAN Support Services.  

Digital Publishing Services provides support to the KU community for the design, management and distribution of online publications, including journals, conference proceedings, monographs, and other scholarly content.

Network Express STations (NESTs) are spread across campus for quick access to check email, news updates, etc.

IT ResNet is the Information Technology department that provides the cable TV, phone and Internet connections in KU residential housing.  

Image collections containing tens of thousands of digital images, some derived from local KU collections, some licensed from other providers, and some located at other universities. Most collections use Luna Insight software which provides searching, image manipulation, export, and presentation capabilities.  

IDS helps faculty, GTAs and instructors learn to use instructional technology to create dynamic classroom experiences. One-on-one, workshops, or seminars. 

ResNet offers continuous Internet access through the KU network. This optional service is available to anyone living in a student housing facility.  

IT provides Internet access for faculty and staff on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses, as well as some off campus locations.

KU Anywhere provides secure access to resources on the KU network (to use Outlook or access a departmental file server) from off campus locations. Service available to faculty (including emeriti), staff, GTAs and GRAs. 

Use your KU Card to pay for meals, lab printing, check out Library books, and more.  

A great source of information about KU and beyond. Call with your questions, or go to the website to browse the Q&A database that the KU Info staff uses.  

The KU Online ID (and associated password) is your key to access many online services at KU including email, Blackboard, Enroll & Pay, Kyou portal, etc.  

KU ScholarWorks is a digital repository for scholarly work created by KU faculty and staff. It makes important research available to a wider audience and helps assure its long-term preservation.  

Your first stop for online services at KU. Access email, course schedules, grades, put money on your KU card, purchase a parking permit, renew a library book and much more--all from one location.

LAN Support Services (LSS) is a unit within Information Technology, a division of the University of Kansas Information Services. LSS provides server administration and a variety of distributed computing services to University departments. LSS also provides technical consulting and staffing services to support departmental technical staff and ensure consistent technical assistance for University end users.  

Lab Management 
Central support for departmental computing labs that includes creating desktop images, installation and updating of software.  

Reserve a computing lab for instructional purposes. Site provides lab locations, software installed, and online reservation requests. 

Online catalog for collections held by KU Libraries, Law Libraries, Medical Libraries, Learning Resource Center, and other Libraries. Includes over three million books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, audio/visual materials, etc. 

Reserve library materials either on-site or online for student access. Articles on electronic reserve can be accessed by students anytime they need them. 

Find electronic journals on a wide range of topics. 

Main Library homepage with information about locations, services, databases, research assistance, etc. 

Request items that are not available from the KU Libraries or request copies of articles from print journals held in the KU Libraries.  

Alphabetic, broad subject, and search access to citation and full-text databases, almost all provided through KU Library subscriptions.

See "IT ResNet" 

ResNet automatically scans new student computers for viruses and worms and removes them, installs Sophos antivirus, and requires students to complete a KU security awareness quiz. This system also automatically installs security patches and software updates.  

A great starting point for research resources available through the KU Libraries. 

Research accounts on a Unix server are available for KU researchers who need access to statistical software and CPU-intensive numerical processing.
