Spooner Hall, one of the oldest buildings at KU, will undergo a $1.1 million exterior renovation. The project will be paid for by state repair and rehabilitation funding. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, the building was dedicated in 1894 and served as KU's first library.

KU's School of Law is one of the best in the nation, according to the Princeton Review. Featured in the 2009 edition of the "Best 174 Law Schools," the "extremely affordable" school "produces good attorneys and loyal alumni."
